South of Mount Athos

“South of Mount Athos” is a cast glass sculpture created using the lost-wax technique. The work combines smooth, angular, and curved forms. Its dominant triangular silhouette, rising to a sharp peak, evokes Mount Athos, while flowing, wave-like patterns and organic contours unfold within the sculpture, reflecting the dynamic and unpredictable nature of the sea, its waves and storms. The clear turquoise glass conveys a sense of tranquillity and the vastness of the sea, while the intricate internal details suggest movement and energy.
