Nestinari Fire Dance

The fused glass artwork is inspired by the ancient Nestinari fire dance — a ritual in which movement, faith, and fire merge into a unified experience. Rather than depicting the dance figuratively, the composition captures its energy through the dynamics of color and form.

Intense reds, oranges, and deep tones intersect with translucent and luminous areas, evoking flame, pulsation, and inner tension. Layers of glass and varied textures create a visual rhythm reminiscent of movement across embers — both controlled and transcendent.

The work does not illustrate the ritual but conveys its state — a moment of transition between the physical and the spiritual. Through glass as a medium of light and transformation, Nestinari Fire Dance reveals the inner force and symbolic depth of this ancient tradition.
