Landscape from the Rila Mountains (Triptych)
This fused glass triptych is inspired by the landscape of the Rila Mountains, unfolding as a sequence of interrelated visual fields. Rather than a fixed viewpoint, the composition offers an abstract interpretation of nature through fragmented color structures and layered materiality.
A defining feature of the work is the use of full fuse, in which individual glass elements merge into a continuous, homogeneous surface. Through this process, boundaries between fragments dissolve, allowing color and light to function as a unified field. The three panels create a rhythm of perception that suggests movement through a mountainous environment.
Cool blues and neutral tones, interwoven with vivid accents, evoke water, rock, and air. The triptych does not depict a specific landscape, but rather an experience — a dynamic state in which nature is perceived as a continuous process of transformation.
